I’m Vanessa - one of the owners of Plus Tutor alongside my husband, Mark. I am also one of the tutors who work with key stage one, two & three children.

I am a fully qualified teacher with over seven years experience in the classroom & a further three in private tuition. I graduated Liverpool John Moore’s University with a first-class honours degree in Psychology and went on to complete my PGCE at Edge Hill. Following this I worked as a primary school teacher in Liverpool until I had my little girl and this was when I opened Plus Education in Crosby with my husband. I am passionate about providing alternative learning provisions and opportunities for students. Tutoring on a one to one basis allows me to tailor every lesson so that students build confidence and have solid foundations to tackle problems independently in the future. I believe that making my students feel safe and forming a strong initial bond is key to successful learning.

Outside of tuition, you will probably find me with my two beautiful girls!
